A milestone for the graduates and a strong sign of successful integration
Together with Association Equilibre, we are delighted about the successful completion of apprenticeships by our three trainees: Shukriye Heidary, Amene Nuri and Achinedu Enebeli received their Swiss Federal VET Certificate (EBA) as textile practitioners last week.
This certificate means much more than a diploma. It stands for courage, perseverance and the willingness to embark on a new path despite difficult starting conditions.
A story of courage, diligence and perseverance
A few years ago, the three women came to Switzerland without any knowledge of German and with little formal schooling. In Uri, they not only found a new home, but also the chance to complete an apprenticeship at KoKoTé. They learned the German language as well as reading and writing from scratch – an enormous challenge that required great effort and perseverance. Parallel to their demanding training, they took responsibility for their families and thus mastered the daily balancing act between learning, work and private life.
This success is the result of their exceptional perseverance and was supported by the close guidance of Association Equilibre and its mentoring program. Equally crucial was the commitment of many dedicated people: teachers, employees and everyone involved who accompanied this journey with patience, expertise and heart.
When integration creates concrete perspectives
For ten years, Association Equilibre has been committed to ensuring that integration is successful in the long term – through education, vocational qualification, clear structures and individual support. The Uri bag manufactory KoKoTé, the main project of the non-profit association, combines social responsibility with professional training and high-quality craftsmanship.
The successful completion of apprenticeships by the three textile practitioners impressively shows what is possible when motivation meets targeted support. KoKoTé and Association Equilibre are all the more delighted to have accompanied the graduates on their journey and supported them until their successful completion.
The three professional women exemplify how education, equal opportunities and personal commitment open up new perspectives and at the same time make a valuable contribution to society.
