Repair and Upcycling of Bags and Accessories

Leather lasts longer than fashion trends!

More and more people are deliberately choosing items with history, quality, and character. Instead of discarding their favorite pieces, bags, clothing, and accessories are repaired, reimagined, and passed on.

Whether it's defective zippers, material damage, worn-out belts, or other repairs: Our leather and textile specialists restore bags and accessories of all kinds. If desired, new, individual unique pieces can also be created from them.

Do you have a favorite item that needs repairing – or one that you'd like to see transformed into something new? Then you've come to the right place! We look forward to your non-binding inquiry.

Do you have old tarpaulins or other used textiles and would like to have unique bags made from them for your company or club? Find out more about our upcycling offer for corporate clients.

Old Furla bag becomes new everyday companion

With a few targeted adjustments, an old Furla bag was transformed into a completely new, everyday companion.

The original strap was kept: it can be easily halved and shortened to the desired length.
We also worked with small details on the lining: The narrow phone pocket, which was no longer suitable for smartphones, was removed and re-sewn flat. This allows the smartphone to comfortably fit again.

On the outside, we removed the green "flap," making the bag as a whole lose some weight and become lighter. We removed the zipper that originally ran around the bag. The overall shape was somewhat straightened. The remaining beige leather from the zipper was quickly repurposed: It was reused as piping along the edges of the bag.

A beautiful example of how upcycling can be not only sustainable but also creative.

New life for leather pouches from the thrift store

Jakob, a primary school student, recently visited us with his mother at the studio in Kaiserhaus – carrying a small leather pouch from a second-hand shop. The closure strap had fallen off and some seams had come undone. For many, it would have been destined for the bin, but for him, it was a piece with history and personal value.

We were able to give the pouch a new lease on life: creating a new leather closure strap and carefully repairing the seams – thus preserving something irreplaceable.

From Leather Jacket Franz to Women's Handbag Fränzi

A well-worn men's leather jacket, belonging to its owner Franz, gets a second life – as a stylish handbag. The high-quality leather is preserved, as is the story it tells. Only the shape changes.

For this, we carefully dismantled the old leather jacket, prepared the material, and crafted it into an elegant women's handbag. The result is a stylish one-of-a-kind piece that preserves memories while fulfilling a new purpose. Thus, Franz's leather jacket becomes the charming handbag Fränzi.

A Sonia Rykiel bag in a new design

We repurposed an old Sonia Rykiel bag, which its owner found too precious to discard, into a new, stylish women's handbag.

The material and distinctive features of the original bag were preserved, resulting in a unique one-of-a-kind piece that became a special gift for the owner's godchild.
