What is upcycling
Upcycling involves creating something new and useful from waste products or otherwise useless materials, thus increasing their value. This reduces the consumption of new raw materials, which are known to be becoming scarcer.
Upcycling is therefore becoming increasingly important today. In contrast to recycling, upcycling consumes less energy, as the processes involved generally only include cleaning and the assembly/disassembly of parts.
In developing countries, upcycling is much more widespread, due to the fact that a mindful approach to existing resources has been necessary for much longer there due to a lack of money. However, upcycling is now becoming increasingly popular in our latitudes too, but is still very much in its infancy concerning supply chains, networking, and mass production.

Tarpaulins or other textile materials are particularly suitable for upcycling.
