I am Amene Nuri, prospective textile practitioner EBA

I sewed the 24 parts from Econyl® and Bonded Leather and cotton straps into the simplest and most practical coconut bag. I put all my knowledge in every stitch as a seamstress that I made for the three sizes of the shopping bag "Poschti".

My name is Amene Nuri and I made my two sons all the trip from Afghanistan via Iran and Greece to Switzerland. It was not a shopping spree! For me, the production of the "Poschti" is a kind of return home. As a mother and passionate seamstress, the craft of sewing always accompanied me, no matter which country my escape led me into. It was an inner satisfaction to see how things were made with my personal claim to craftsmanship and the miracles that can create hands and mind. It is a feeling of having arrived without being fleeing.

My sons are a performance for all of us: the cook and the prospective IT specialist touch my heart. I also make progress in German. My teacher says that I get better and better, which is a good feeling. That sends me on a new journey without having to break into the unknown. Hopefully I will soon start my training as a textile practitioner EBA and finally get recognition for my skills.

It is a great start to get a Swiss stamp in craftsmanship. I like to visit me in the manufactory and I tell you more about Econyl® and sustainability, as well as why it is important to reuse our materials to protect our earth.
